Falcons Class and Forest Schools

Falcons Class came to Forest Schools at the beginning of the Autumn Term. They showed fantastic team work, communication and problem solving skills in the woods. Knots and ropes were used effectively to navigate and negotiate huge logs for den building and to make structures secure.

Stick Man also made an appearance... We worked hard to find his family tree for him.

We detected animal tracks in the woods and placed the wildlife camera where we thought we would capture some pictures... have a look at the pictures to see what we saw... We loved this and enjoyed looking at the animals' habitats and finding out what else lives on the farm.

We even built a Hibernaculum for the frogs that we know are residents on our site! We worked as a team to use the tools to cut the guttering and built the Hibernaculum up with logs, branches and leaves.

We also used the tools to cut enough kindling to use on the last session when we built a fire and toasted marshmallows... A fantastic way to celebrate a brilliant time in the woods!
